View All Support ResourcesWhat can I inspect with the FOTRIC Ti3?
Use Ti3 to investigate overheating electrical connections, compare motor and bearing temperatures, check HVAC performance, and assess surface temperature patterns associated with building heat loss. Thermal images help you identify where further inspection is needed; they do not confirm the underlying fault on their own.
What is the thermal resolution, and does it support Super Resolution?
Ti3 has a native infrared resolution of 160 × 120 pixels and supports Super Resolution enhancement to 320 × 240. This helps make thermal patterns easier to view while keeping a clear distinction between the detector’s native resolution and the enhanced image.
What temperatures can it measure, and how accurate is it?
Ti3 measures from -20°C to 650°C (-4°F to 1202°F), with an accuracy of ±2°C (±3.6°F) or ±2% of the reading, whichever is greater, under specified conditions. The stated accuracy applies at ambient temperatures of 15–35°C, with target temperatures above 0°C and calibration at 1 m. Focus, surface emissivity, and reflections can also affect your readings.
Do I need to focus manually before every inspection?
No. TurboFocus offers thermal contrast, laser-assisted, continuous, and touch autofocus, with manual focus available when you want more control. The 25° × 19° field of view helps you frame individual components, and the minimum imaging distance is 0.1 m. Minimum imaging distance does not mean every small target can be measured accurately at that distance.
Can I review images on the camera and create reports on a computer?
Yes. Review images and bookmark important findings on the 5-inch touchscreen before leaving the site. Thermal, visible-light, picture-in-picture, and T-DEF fusion views help you relate heat patterns to the equipment you are inspecting. Included AnalyzIR PC software supports further analysis, batch processing, and report creation for customers or maintenance teams.
How long does the battery last, and can I replace it?
Each rechargeable battery provides at least 4 hours of continuous operation under specified conditions. The kit includes two batteries and a two-bay charging dock, so you can carry a charged spare for longer inspection rounds. Actual runtime varies with settings and operating conditions.
